INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)
The Institute (Referred as RCERT hereafter) has recently established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell in July, 2017, as the first step towards internalization and institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives. As envisaged, the prime purpose of this IQAC is to develop an educational system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the Institution. RCERT undertakes to channelize all its efforts, possible resources and measures towards promoting holistic academic excellence on its campus. The SUCCESS MANTRA for this IQAC that the positive results would depend upon the sense of belongingness and participation has been well acknowledged by the RCERT human resource.
RCERT already had an analogous cell by title ‘QUALITY ASSURANCE & HIGHER STUDIES’ (QAHS) since 2011 which was looked after by the Dean (QAHS). The Cell was constituted with a vision to refine quality issues related to UG courses, PG Courses and the research activities in the College. The quality of students’ academic performance, their feedback on teaching learning parameters and appropriate corrective measures were monitored through another cell under the control of Dean (Academics). As such, this Cell was responsible for improving overall academic qualities attached to teaching learning aspects in RCERT. Its fine tuning and appropriate action based on online feedback has improved student’s performance in examinations and also teacher’s quality of teaching.
The ‘QUALITY ASSURANCE & HIGHER STUDIES’ (QAHS) Cell in RCERT has madeits contributions in implementing predefined strategies and processes, over the years to achieve quality in various areas of academics and research. Right from acquiring the status of Centre of Higher Learning and Research from RTM Nagpur University and then from Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, this Cell has contributed in bringing administrative and academic discipline in the quality of researches which have been taken up at RCERT.
The policy of RCERT with regards to quality assurance is as mentioned below :
1. Finalizing quality parameters for various academic and administrative activities.
2. Date creation in respect of Institution’s administrative and academic activities.
3. Conducting Internal Quality Audits periodically to ascertain the effectiveness of measures taken in improving the quality parameters.
4. Preparing necessary Documents for various activities which are leading to quality improvement.
5. Implementing corrective measures after approval of the principal.
It is our strong perception that perhaps Research Quality is one of the areas, where the Institutions imparting higher education have huge scope to improve, in our Country.
